It's feeling cozier (recipe inside!)
|
It's officially fall and today feels like Georgia got the memo (just a little!). As I write this message, it's a cloudy 74 degrees. Outside my office window, I think I see a one patch of leaves on a distant tree trying to lose some of the green, but it's struggling. Besides the grass losing a bit of its vibrancy, that's all I've got. Oh and coffee. I always have coffee. Which brings me to Vivian. Vivian loves coffee too, but of course she's inspired off of me, so yeah, she would. Vivian also has to deal with the historic Victorian inn she and her newly retired husband bought in Azalea Springs and if she doesn't also handle the ghost it came with, their dream could fall apart. It's the kind of low-angst cozy fantasy that invites you to curl up with your tea or coffee, and escape for a bit. While you're downloading it to your Kindle, check out these other cozy books. Not into ebooks? You can grab it in paperback as well, either signed by me or from Ingram. Great Cozy RecipeThis is a great time of year to start experimenting with soups. I love a good kitchari for a bit of a nurturing system reboot. It's gentle, warm, nourishing, with what we need for a digestive reset. I'm about to put a pot on now. As a tip, use what you've got in the fridge. The spices really do the heavy lifting. Here's the recipe I use. I keep it in a Google doc so I can access it easily. Feel free to save it to your docs or copy somewhere else. If you try it out, please send a picture so I can see it! If you're thinking you want to try it but don't have mung dal, Amazon does and is where I found mine. Have a beautiful autumn day and happy reading! |
